Obituary of Alec Charles Tate

TATE, Alec June 13, 1949-May 19, 2014 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alec after a long and courageous battle with cancer with his family by his side. Beloved husband of 43 years to Lauren. Father of Shawn. Dear brother of Denis and wife Christiane. Survived by brother Jim and wife Maureen. Predeceased by his parents, sister Eileen and brother Gerald. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Alec had a passion for life and had many interests including fishing, golfing and woodworking. Thanks to Dr. Ross Moncur for his compassion and care. Also to Dr. Yasmin Alam who fought the fight with him. A special thank you to our sister in-law Michelle for her kindness and patience during this difficult time. Thanks to the wonderful Nurses from Sainte Elizabeth and Bayshore for their expert care. Finally to all our family and friends for their support. Cremation has taken place.
