Obituary of Pietro Centofanti

CENTOFANTI, Pietro Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the age of 73, on April 12, 2014. Loving husband of Rosa (Guzzo) who he shared 36 years of marriage. Predeceased by his son Francesco. Predeceased by his parents Francesco and Angela Centofanti, and his parents-in-law Gaspare and Angelina Guzzo. Dear brother to Petta Centofanti Morelli and the late Sabatino Morelli of Italy, Palmina and the late Fioreavante Paolini of Windsor, Sam and Pat Centofanti of the United States, Fiorina and Luigi Filangi of France, Antonio and the late Daniella Centofanti of France, Leonardo and Dora Centofanti of the United States, Onoria Centofanti and Alberto Rocca of Italy, and Gigliola and Franco DiVito of Italy. Dear brother-in-law of Mario and Alice Guzzo, Theresa and Mike Capalbo, Frank and Linda Guzzo, and Josie and Sandro Kuti. Dear uncle to many nieces and nephews of Italy, France, United States and Canada, and the late Frank Paolini. Also dear uncle to many great nephews and nieces as well as great-great uncle. Pierto was a dedicated employee of Essex Terminal Railway for 29 years, and a very avid gardener. A thank you to the Angels at Hospice, Alaa from Paramed, Raj and a special thank you to Narinder from St. Elizabeth for their care and compassion shown to Pietro. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME 1700 Tecumseh Road E. on Monday April 14th, 2014 from 7-9 PM and Tuesday April 15th, 2014 from 2 - 5 PM and 7 - 9 PM. Parish prayers at 4:30 PM, and a remembrance of Pierto"s life at 7:30 PM. Funeral services on Wednesday April 16th, 2014 at 10:15 AM from the Funeral Home then to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 11 AM. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Windsor and Essex County and The Italian Canadian Handicapable Association.
