Obituary of Luciano Alessandro Russo

RUSSO, Luciano April 5, 1943 " April 9, 2014 With deep sadness and broken hearts we announce the loss of a dear son, husband, papa, nonno, brother, uncle, and friend. Luciano passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side at the age of 71 years. Predeceased by his parents Alberto and Ada Russo, brother Silvio and granddaughter Gabriella Kendra Markham. Loving husband of Francesca Russo (nee Magno). Caring Papa of Ada (Kevin) Markham, Tina (Joe) Mariani, Julia (John) Berthiaume, Al Russo (Jane), Dave (Tammy) Russo and Diane Papineau/Russo. Cherished nonno of Max, Noel, Toni, Adrian, Parker, Myah, Sela, Hunter, Carter, Isabella and Ethan. Dear brother of Lina (Giuseppe) Cuda and Mirella (Antonio) Ferrari and brother-in-law of Mario (Lina) Magno. Luciano will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends in Canada and in Italy. Special thanks to Breeann and Julie on the 4th floor at Windsor Regional Hospital- Metropolitan Campus for all their care and compassion. Luciano was a retired worker of Carpenter"s Union local 494 and was an avid hunter. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. East on Friday April 11, 2014 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers at 4:30 p.m. Funeral Services on Saturday April 12, 2014 at 8:45 a.m. from the Funeral Home, then to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
