Obituary of Luciano J. Ranieri

RANIERI, Luciano March 19, 1942-April 3, 2014 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the tragic & sudden death of Luciano at the age of 72. Cherished husband of 45 years to Eva (nee Tompa). Loving father to Claudia (Mark) Campbell, Raffaele (Cindy) and Tina (Jeff) Peltier. Adored Nonno to Ashley, Andrew, Avery, Aidan, Connor, Hannah, Tristan and Nicholas. Predeceased by his loving parents Raffaele and Laura. Beloved brother of Nina, 2014 (Bruno) Podesta, Teresa (Renato, 1987), Tenderini, Renato (Marisa), Benito (Carol), Gino (Gloria), Daria (Goffredo) Mameli. Greatly loved by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Luciano immigrated from Italy to Canada at the age of 13 and built a fulfilling and successful life with his wife and children. He was an artist of his craft, a well respected Dental Technologist who founded Ontario Ceramics Dental Laboratory 40 years ago. He was a member of the Giovanni Caboto Club and the Vice President of The Italian Genealogy and Heraldry Society of Canada. He had a love for travel that he enjoyed over the years with his wife and family. He will be forever in our hearts and minds. May his soul rest in peace. Funeral service on Saturday April 12, 2014 at 12:15pm from the funeral home then to Good Shepherd Parish -St. Gregory Site (13789 St. Gregory Rd., Tecumseh) for a funeral Mass at 1:00pm.
