Obituary of Theresa Alice Dietrich

DIETRICH, Theresa (nee Laprise) February 13, 1931 " April 6, 2014 Passed away peacefully with her family at her side at the Dr. Y. Emara Centre for Healthy Aging and Mobility at 83 years of age. Cherished mother of Cathy (Jerry) Miehm, Mary (Ronald) Lemay, Judy (Gary) Freisinger, Dr. Anne Dietrich, John Dietrich, and the late Michael Dietrich (1998). Loved and adored grandmother of Michael (Mike), Jason (Laura), Tammy (Tore), Melissa, Sean, Sherri (James), Greg, Justin (Nikki), Kerri, Ryan, Jessica, Christopher, Stephanie (Alex), Nolan, and Sarah. Treasured great grammie to Justin, Ashlynn, Sylar, and one on the way. Former wife of the late Donald Dietrich (1994). Dear daughter of the late Henry Laprise and Ida Normandin. Loved sister of Eva Laprise and sister-in-law to Elzeor Caron. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters and brothers, Rose (Bart) Wells, Lucille Caron, Ernie (Kay) Laprise, Ray Laprise, and Dennis Laprise. Mom lived her life for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved us all unconditionally and thoroughly enjoyed family get togethers. She loved watching many movies with her grandchildren. She was an inspiration to us all as she suffered many health problems over the past 15 years. She was a real trooper. She will be greatly missed by all. Special thanks to all the wonderful and compassionate care our mother received at the Dr. Y. Emara Centre for Healthy Aging and Mobility, 2 South, 3 North, and 1 North. You are all very special people. Thank you so much for all the love and support you gave our mom over the past year and a half. She loved all of you. E. on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 from 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers at 8 p.m. Funeral service on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 10:15 a.m. from the funeral home then to St. Vincent de Paul Church (2015 Balfour St.) for Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Donations made in memory of Theresa to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario are welcomed and appreciated by the family.
