Obituary of Luigi Quaglia

QUAGLIA, Luigi, Passed away peacefully on June 30, 2020 at Villages of Aspen Lake at the age of 85. Beloved husband of best friend of Ilde (nee Giamberardino). Loving father of Michael Quaglia (Sonnia) and Stephanie Quaglia (Dan Rankin). Cherished Nonno of Lily and Noah Lavallee. Dear brother of Espedito Quaglia (Rita), Nello Quaglia (Peggy), Anthony Quaglia (Angela) and brother in-law of Egildo Giamberardino (Domenico) of Italy and Antonio Giamberardino (Anna Maria 2019). Luigi is also survived by many nieces and nephews. A very special thank you to the doctors, nurses and all staff at Villages of Aspen Lake for your exceptional care, compassion and loving guidance during Luigi’s short stay. Luigi was a dedicated employee with Chrysler Canada and retired after 35 years of service. During his retirement, he was able to enjoy the things he loved. He was a family man who enjoyed spending time with his family at every opportunity, especially his pride and joy, Lily and Noah. He loved to entertain his friends and enjoyed the company of good friends and good food. Luigi was often found tending to his garden where he grew tomatoes, beans and zucchini and making wine. He was able to travel the world with his beloved Ilde, seeing so many different countries and creating unforgettable memories. Visiting will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel), on Monday, July 6, 2020 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. PLEASE NOTE: Masks must be worn upon entry to the facility. Anyone wishing to attend the Chapel Service is requested to RSVP by contacting Windsor Chapel at 519.253.7234 on Monday, July 6, 2020 between the hours of 8:30am and 4pm to secure a reservation.
