Obituary of Gail Marie Dunn

Dunn,Gail Marie (nee Thomas) Died with her loving family by her side on March 14, 2014 at the age of 48 after a long struggle with diabetes. Born on May 26, 1965 in Windsor, Ontario to John and Lorraine Thomas, Gail served in her community as a nurse and on Sept 7, 1991, she married Tom Dunn. Gail and Tom moved to the London/Tillsonburg area to a beautiful Christmas Tree Farm where they started their life and family, Nathan, 19, and Jesse, 15. Gail's compassion for people and nursing lead her to serving in her community. Gail will be especially remembered for her tenacious spirit and strong work ethic. She spent hours working hard cooking, canning, scrapbooking, selling Christmas trees, making wreaths and when she wasn't home, you would find her as "The devoted hockey mom" at the arena. She was so proud of her boys and their accomplishments. She was a fighter and she will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband and friend Tom and her 2 loving sons, Nathan and Jesse, her life was fulfilled by them. Loving mother Lorraine, sister Lynda and Gerry Lambing, and Nancy Sedran. Predeceased by her father John (2009) and brother James (1985). She will be sadly missed by many extended family members and nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Banwell Chapel) 519-253-7234, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. at Banwell Rd. Windsor, Ontario N8N-1L8 on Monday, March 17, 2014 from 7-9pm and Tuesday from 2-5 and 7-9pm. All are welcome to join in a celebration of Gail's life on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 11am at the Banwell Chapel. Interment Victoria Memorial Gardens. In memory of Gail, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association (envelopes available at the funeral home).
