Obituary of Douglas Wilkie
WILKIE, Douglas H. Peacefully surrounded by his loving family on March 11, 2014 at the age of 73 years. He will be forever loved by his adoring wife Cara (nee Wride) sharing 23 years of marriage. Dear brother to Betty Campbell, and loved brother in-law to Jean McCarron, Carl & Eleanor Wride, Rose & Pete Neff and their families. Douglas is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews; Dana Campbell, Stacey Turner, Frank (Paulette) McCarron, Anne Pennington (Scott), Dale (Dan) Woelfer, Wayne (Rosa) Wride, Brian (Barb) Wride, Lois (Phil) Johnson-Wride, Glen (Kathy) Neff, Susan (Bob) Lyons and Scot (Katrina) Neff. He will be missed especially by dear friends Abe & Fatima Bazzi, with their children Adam the Venneys- Kevin, JennyLou, Graham and Heather. He was a member of the "Odd Fellows of Leamington" for 25 years and St. Clair Beach Optimists. Douglas was a dedicated teacher at Western Secondary School for 29 years sharing his passion for teaching and baking. He left an ever lasting imprint on the students he taught, and was known for his wit and friendliness. Cremation has taken place.
