Obituary of Gino Labruzzo
LABRUZZO, Gino. We are greatly saddened and heartbroken at the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather on March 3, 2014 with family at his side at 80 years of age. Loving husband to Margherita for over 50 years. Wonderful father to sons Peter and Danny, and grandfather of Kathryn, Alex and Victor. He will also be greatly missed by a large extended family of brothers and sisters that reside in Italy. Gino immigrated from Italy at a young age and gained much respect as an excellent and skilled baker and cook, which he enjoyed passionately up to and until his last few months. He will be remembered as a very kind, helping and honest man who came to this country with only a suitcase, but did the best he could to provide for family. We would like to extend our thanks to the nurses of 2nd floor North and I.C.U. at Hotel Dieu Hospital for the attention and care they provided for several months. The relentless efforts of the paramedics from Windsor Regional Hospital (Met. Campus). Many Thanks. The continuous around the clock care from the highly skilled doctors and nurses at C.C.U./I.C.U. at Windsor Regional (Met. Campus) for their tremendous efforts in sustaining his life. He will be dearly missed and never forgotten. As per Gino's request, there will be no public visitation. A private family service will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519.253.7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. with entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario. On-line condolences and cherished memories may be shared with the family at www.windsorchapel.com.
