Obituary of Dak Saba

SABA, Dakhil " Dak " With saddened hearts we announce the passing of Dakhil (Dak) Saba on March 1, 2014 at the age of 83. He was born February 2, 1931 in Kfarhilda, Lebanon. Dak found the greatest happiness with his beautiful wife Juliette (nee Andary) of 59 years and leaves behind an incredible legacy, his children,Tom (Heather), Diane Saba, Roy (Teresa), Zena Curtis (Jeff) and Grandchildren Julie Clark (Greg) , TJ (Christina), Tanya Saba (Mike LaPalme), Dayna Saba , Lauren, Daniel, Alexis Curtis and Nicholas Curtis and great grandchildren Nathan and Warren Clark. Predeceased by his parents Touma and Tammam and siblings Alida, Amina and Elias. He will have a lasting place in the hearts of all of his brothers and sisters in law of the Andary family. Along with his greatest blessings come his successes and achievements. In 1963 Dak established and operated Dak's Ontario Wholesale Ltd., and later Dak's Flowers in 1981. To know Dak, you would appreciate his passionate and charismatic personality, which could bring a smile to anyone. His love and devotion to his family, work and his community will continue to live on within the hearts of everyone he touched. The Saba family would like to sincerely thank the 8th floor west nursing staff of Windsor Regional (Ouellette Campus) Hospital and Dr. Lawrence Aoun who became an extension of our family over the final few days. E. at Banwell Rd. on Monday March 3rd , 2014 from 7 to 9 PM and Tuesday from 2-5 PM and 7-9 PM . Parish prayers Tuesday at 8:30 PM. Everyone is invited to gather on Wednesday March 5th, 2014 at St. John Vianney Church ( 385 Dieppe ) for Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery . In memory of Dak, donations may be made to Neurology department of the Windsor Regional (Ouellette Campus). (Envelopes available at the Funeral Home.)
