I have just viewed this obituary while reading that of my dearest aunt, Anne Rely, and wanted to send condolences to the family. Your beautifully written obituary detailed the family well, and reminded me of my deceased mother's connections to the Chittle family. My mother was Pauline Homick Barton, who passed away in 2000. She spoke often of her childhood in Tilbury, and the various members of the Chittle family she knew. I lived in Windsor until 1998, and we had visited the Chittle farm to buy corn on occasion with my mom. The mention of Bernice McCrae is memorable, I knew her and Tom when I was a child, and Gerri McCrae Homick was my god-mother! Best wishes to all the family. Sincerely, Lynda Desmarais
