Obituary of Lucia Mariani

MARIANI, Lucia (nee Lisi) (December 13, 1921 - Feb 2, 2014) Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Windsor Regional Hospital (Ouellette Campus), on February 2, 2014 at 92 years of age. Daughter of the late Filomena Lisi (Diana) (1963) and Arcangelo Lisi (1963). Beloved wife of 64 years to the late Pio Mariani (2007). Dearest mother of Vincenzo (1943), Antonio, Vincenza, Rosina, Angelo and Giuliana. Mother-in-law to Elena, Franco, Maurizio, Marie and Walid. Cherished grandmother of Steven, Tanya (Nick), Adam, Gianni (Anna Maria), Luciana, Franca (Aldo), Carlo (Concetta), Cristina (Dave), Angelo, Joseph and Carmen. Great-grandmother to Tristan, Keira, Alexander, Cristian, Alexandra, Lorenzo, Alessia, Carla, Maurizio and Gianluca. Predeceased by brothers, Giacomo Lisi (1962), Antonio Lisi (1971), Nicola Lisi (2000) and sister, Paolina Fratarcangelli (Lisi) (1990). Predeceased by brothers-in law, Giandomenico, Giovanni, Francesco , and Luigi Mariani, and predeceased by sisters-in-law in Italy and Canada. Lucia will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends from Canada, Italy and Australia. Special thanks to Dr. Kadri, Dr. Bagga, Dr. Cohen and Dr. Iannicello, as well as all the angels at Windsor Regional Hospital (Ouellette Campus) that Lucia was graced with in assisting her. East, on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. Funeral Service Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 10:15 a.m. from the Funeral Home then to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the family for planting of a memorial tree.
