I had only known Paul for the past two years but he was the kind of man you wish you had known your whole life. A beautiful soul with the biggest heart who made every get-together memorable. Marc always spoke of Paul as a brother and his best friend, not merely a brother-in-law. We knew we could ask Paul for anything and he would never hesitate to lend a hand. We will always cherish everything Paul did to make our wedding day so special and I will never forget the sweet message he sent the following day. I miss you very much, Po Po. Love, Lina.

When I first meet Paul his size was intimidating as he was posturing into my face at a dealership ball tournament. Years later I was hired as his boss, some 22 years after that I slowly came to know and rely and pray for Big Paul. I am a better man having known this gentleman with a big heart! Hey Paul have you tasted the food in heaven yet? I’m told it is truly Devine! Can hardly wait to see you again. Your friend Vic Dunn

He was and will forever be thee greatest uncle. As soon as he walked into a room, it was soon to be a party. We connected through music, good food and long drives to Toronto where our dance moves were as wild as the songs were. We would talk about Liv and how proud he was of what she is becoming. She was his angel in every way and he always showed how proud of a father he was. What I loved about him was his willingness to always have a good time, no matter the situation. I loved talking sports with him especially baseball because when he spoke you could see the passion coming out in his words. He was truly a mentor for never allowing a moment to go by when were together to not be joyful. I will miss seeing you joke around with my mom and will forever be reliving all the great moments we have shared. I love you and I pray that we meet again someday. I know you will protect Joanne, Olivia and my mom forever and a day because you will now be known as our guardian angel. Always, Lindsay

Thank you for being the big man who helped shape a big piece of heart. While growing up we saw each other as much as we could, the time was always exciting. You moved me in such inspiring way, making me imitate the things you would do because you were the coolest person I knew. To have my wildest dream come true of you MC’ing my wedding which created this atmosphere that I’ll never forget. He will always be a part of my life story in more ways than I know.

To Paul and family: Paul (aka “Big Gee”) was a great childhood friend. Even though we lost touch in our adult years, I remember all the great times we had together when we were younger. Ice hockey, Wheels Roller Rink and baseball are just some of the many fond memories I have of him. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him. Sorry for your loss, Gord Parent (aka “Gunner”) and family

When ever Paul would call it would start with, what are you doing this weekend, time to come play in Toronto! Too many crazy stories but he did it big on our last trip, flights of beer at the Amsterdam, work our way down to Copa Cabana for Massive dinner then walked us back to the front door of the AC Centre and Pauline surprised me with tickets to Bob Seger final tour! Wouldn't stop there, pouring rain walked to another crazy pub, ordered towels, pitchers of drinks and food until 2:30, then it was time to head home! That sums up what you brought to my world, endless Fun. Love you brother, Salute! Michael

I met Paul at a Soccer Game years ago. Olivia played with my Granddaughter Claire. Paul had a nickname for my Claire...he called her “Turbo” because of her speed. No one better to watch a game with. He was funny, kind, always a gentleman. My deepest condolences to the Family. Patricia Scarpelli, Grandmother of Claire Lazarus.

My deepest sympathy to Joanne who took such excellent care for Paul during his illness. His final wishes to be at home in his mancave were made possible by your love & dedication to your husband. Heartfelt love to Olivia , Paul's bright light may you lift your face to the sun and feel his presence everyday knowing he is with you beside you forever How can you sum up thoughts of someone you have loved for 56 years in a paragraph, someone who filled my life with joy beyond measure . I will carry your spirit with me in my heart, our connection always strong Until we meet again, loving Brother xoxo Pauline

We were so blessed to be Paul’s neighbour for so many years. So many times he lent a hand to fix whatever. Always knowing what to do. His big heart always shining and always being here is what we’re all going to miss. His love for GMC trucks was always talked about in his garage. We’re going to miss his baseball home run stories , his winning volleyball competitions in the pool, all the times he kicked our butts in beanbag toss and most of all the get togethers playing euchre and that big laugh when he won. He will be in our hearts forever and never forgotten- till we meet again Love you always Uncle Paul Deb G Luke Jake and Stella

Dearest Joanne & Olivia You are both in my heart, my thoughts & prayers. I am deeply sorry for your loss. I will always treasure my “Canadian visits” with you all, especially the games we all played together, and how Paul always loved to win, with such a gentle nature and smile. I admired his gentle presence and serene nature, he demonstrated the simple pleasures in life so easily that was unique to his character alone. He was a gentle kind giant in life, he will remain a gentle kind giant in heaven. No more pain, no more suffering, at peace & rest. All my love to you both, Bridge (Australia).

With sadness in my heart I write this. I’ll always remember meeting Paul for the first time. Opening the front door to find a mountain of a man standing in front of me, him saying “ I’m here to pick up your sister”. I feel so blessed that he did. Paul was a large man with an even larger heart. He was a gentle giant. He was my best friend, occasional coworker and my brother. He was the kind of person who would gladly help anyone at anytime. I think of Paul and I feel so much joy and pain, he was and is an amazing person. I will always miss him but I’m so thankful for him being in my life. Love you popo Uncle Marc
