Obituary of Gerald Joseph Charron
CHARRON, Gerald "Gerry" Joseph Passed away peacefully on Friday, January 10, 2014 at Windsor Regional Hospital (Met Campus) at the age of 82. Beloved husband and best friend for 61 years of Mollie (nee Fram). Loving father of Vicki Charron and Terry McConnell, Michael Charron, Connie Charron, Greg Charron and Robin Whitehouse of Thornhill, Rachel Charron and Stephen Crampsie of LaSalle, and Sandra Charron of Mesa, Arizona. Son of the late Camille and Rachel (nee Bissonnette). Cherished grandfather of Shannon (Ryan), Lauren (Ed), Jamie, Carson, Gordon "Mac"; Kerri (Gabe), Maggie, Andrew, Mollie, Robert; Janet, Ashley; Matthew; Nicole (Roman), Jessica, Alexsandra, Kaela, Erinn, Jacob; Juliana and Anthony. Great grandfather of Mason, Andrew, Miika, Sadie, Amelia, Khaley, Megan, Jayden, Shawn, Taya and Malachi. Predeceased by great granddaughter Caitlin. Survived by siblings Simonne Petz, Pauline, Joseph and wife Helen, Adhemar and wife Ellen, Jean-Paul and wife Donna. Predeceased by siblings Marguerite Renaud, Roger, Raymond, Gabriel, and Cecile Adam. Brother-in-law of Louise Strong, Jeannine, Shirley, Shirley Roy, Alonzo Barry, and Jean Fram. Predeceased by Paul Renaud, Bill Petz, Lucille, Wilfred Adam, Leo Fram, and Joseph and Alma Fram. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Gerry retired from Ford Motor Company of Canada as a material manager at the Windsor Engine Plants. He was a past music director of St. Anne"s (Walkerville) Church Regis Club Choir, music director of St. Joseph the Worker Church Classic Choir and a member of the Windsor International Choristers. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. with Parish Prayers at 4 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather together at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (834 Raymo Rd) on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 from 10:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations made to Iris House or a charity of your choice are welcomed and appreciated by the family.
