I first met Shirley in 1949, when my mother and I (aged 9) visited the family in Windsor. Married to my cousin John, she struck me as a lively, bubbly, attractive little person who I took to straight away. Many years later in 1994 with my wife, Myra, I visited her and Bill. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with them and her family, especially going to Dresden races, and having a good laugh on Bill's yacht as it began to sink due to a missing plug. She still had that great sense of humour. You've left us with many happy memories, and photos Shirley. Rest in peace. John & Myra - Cumbria, England
