Obituary of Stefan Matuscin

MATUSCIN, Stefan "Steve" September 3, 1919-December 11, 2013 Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at Riverside Place Long Term Care, at the age of 94. Predeceased by his wife Anna (nee Kachnic) Matuscin, and remembered by his dear friend Marie Hoffmann. Beloved father of Mary Micallef (Paul), Jerry Matuscin, Donna Morris, and Frances Mauer (Frank). Proud and loving grandfather of Kristen Sarra (Frank), Michael Micallef (Shereen), Alex and Amy Matuscin, Jennifer Keller (Jeremy), Richard Mauer, Stephanie, Sarah and Stacy Morris. Great grandfather of Hayden, Ella, and Carys. Dear brother of Helen Fodor, Christina Doktorcik, Donna DeSerrano, the late Anna Solin and late John Matuscin. Steve worked for many years for the Canada Salt Company before enjoying his retirement. He was a long time member of Sts. Cyril"s & Methodius Church. A sincere thank you is extended to the caring staff of Riverside Place for the care shown to our father over the last several years. E This evening, Friday December 13, 2013, from 7-9 p.m. Visitation continues on Saturday morning, December 14, from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home. A private family interment to take place at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, donations made in memory of Steve to the Heart & Stroke Foundation are welcomed and appreciated by the family.
