Obituary of Francesca Di Lorenzo

Di Lorenzo, Francesca (nee Fontana) Passed away peacefully on December 10, 2013 at Windsor Regional Hospital- Met Campus, at the age of 87. She is reunited with her beloved husband the late Crispino Di Lorenzo (1995). Loving mother of Antonina Pace (Nunzio) of Windsor, Rosaria Ippolito (Nunzio) of Arizona, Rosario Di Lorenzo (Lauria) of Windsor, and Josephine Rudberg (William) of Michigan. Proud and cherished nonna of Tom Pace (Luisa), Chris Pace (Lara), Antoinette Granata (Frank), Calogero Ippolito (Krystal), Francesca Di Lorenzo, Christopher Di Lorenzo, Francesca Robertson (Neal), Olivia Rudberg, and Lorenzo Rudberg. Loving great nonna of Alex and Sophia Pace, Gabriella and Adriana Granata, Aidyn Ippolito, and Lailah Robertson. Dear sister of Antonino Fontana, Tommaso Fontana, sister in-law Vincenza Di Lorenzo, and predeceased by Girolama Benforte, Rocco Fontana, and Maria Buffa. Also predeceased by her sister in-law & brother in-law Michiele & Calogera Ienna. Francesca is survived by many nieces and nephews in Windsor, Italy, and Australia. Francesca was also a proud member of the St. Joseph Congregation. Many heart felt thanks to all the staff of the 4th & 5th floors at Met Hospital and the staff of Heron Terrace for the compassionate care shown to our mother. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E on Thursday, December 12, 2013 from 3-5 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers at 4:30 p.m. Thursday. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 13, 2013, at 8:45 a.m. from the Funeral Home then to St. Angela Merici Church (980 Louis Ave) for Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Donations made in memory of Francesca to The Alzheimer"s Society or St. Angela Merici Church are welcomed and appreciated by the family.
