Let me remember my uncle Giacomo in this day of sadness. He left Italy in late fiftys, after military service and marriage with Bertilla, his wife, he reached my dad in Canada who left Italy some years before. Italy, at that time, was a country where misery and poverty was such common and the possibility of job nearly zero. So he work very hard in Canada, his new country, like only Italian emigrant did, to grow his family and create a better future for his daughter Lucia and his son Joseph. He had a great heart, such only people who know what poverty, jobless, and poor nutrition are; he showed such a big heart every time with all is family and his relatives in Italy in particular. When my father Lino, his younger brother, died in 2001, he took the first fly to Italy to be present at the funeral and say good bye to Lino; now all relatives in Italy remember him and are there with our thoughts and prayers. We hope that he may rest in peace with all the people passed before, his parents, his brother and all relatives he knew. Ciao Zio Giacomo. Whit love Maurizio and Girardi families - Italy
