Obituary of Jerome William Popowich

POPOWICH, Jerome "Jerry" Passed away peacefully on Monday, October 21, 2013, at Hospice of Windsor at the age of 63. Born in Windsor, son of the late William & Sophie Popowich. Beloved husband of Robin Branoff. Jerry is survived by his brother Larry and his family in Bethlehem PA. He was a graduate of McMaster University and then went on to receive his Master"s Degree at the University of Western Ontario. Jerry then went on to get his PhD at York University in Toronto. He went on to several teaching positions, first in Toronto then in Windsor until he retired. He truly loved teaching and his students. Jerry also loved his children (aka dogs) Kiki and Emmy. At Jerry"s request a private family service was held. Interment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Windsor Chapel Funeral Home (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County Inc. or the Windsor Essex County Humane Society.
