Obituary of Tom John Stergianis

STERGIANIS, Tom John August 6, 1961- January 2, 2020 It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Tom at home with his loving family by his side. Dear son of Tom Stergiannis and his wife Elizabeth and Maria Karaboulas and her husband Nikolas. Best friend and loving husband of Katherine for 15 years. Cherished and devoted father of Stephanie Allen (Kyle), Lucas, and Tom Rocco. Tom was excited and looking forward to becoming a Pappou with the birth of his first grandson due in April. Tom will be dearly missed by his sisters Roula Stergianis (William Eekhof), Sofy O'Gorman (Chris) and Zoe Stergiannis. Tom was a dedicated and hardworking machinist and tool room leader at Fiat Chrysler where he worked for 27 years. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Tom was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed boating, fishing and hunting with friends. He had a love of gardening and barbequing. In the winter you could catch him hitting the slopes in Colorado and Northern Michigan. Tom was very family orientated and loved spending time together, especially with his wife and children. He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Road East, 519-253-7234 on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. with Thrice Holy Hymn Service at 8:00 p.m. Funeral will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at 10:00am from the funeral home to Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church (3052 Walker Rd) for Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens.
