Obituary of Inez Simon

SIMON Inez Virginia (nee Congdon) Passed away following a brief illness on Sunday July 21, 2013 at Leamington District Memorial Hospital, at the age of 84 years. Beloved wife of 61 years to Murray. Dear Mom of Judy Bobaljik and husband John; Brenda Dixon; and Brad Simon and wife Diane. Dear "Gram" of Jason Dixon, Kristy Damm and husband Josh, Shaun Dixon, Adam Simon and wife Ange, and the late Cale Simon. Great-Grandma to Hailey, Angelica, Sydney, Kelsey and Bradley. Daughter of the late Frank and Rita Congdon, and Charlie Jackson. Sister of Phyllis Coneybeare and late husband Vern, Clare Congdon and wife Betty, and Roger Congdon and wife Gloria. Sister in law to the late Willard Simon and surviving wife Gladys; and the late Cleva Tetzlaff and her late husband Wilbur. Very dear aunt to many nieces and nephews. Inez was retired following many years of service as a secretary in the office at Essex District High School. She and her husband Murray were part of a group of families that helped to form the congregation at Church of The Living Word, in Woodslee, Ontario. She will be dearly missed by many friends, especially those in the Thursday morning Bible Study group. Our mom was a loving, and caring woman, whose passion in life was her family. We have all been witness to a life lived of simple ideals, and pleasure of family. We will all miss her dearly. Cremation, at her request, has taken place. The family invites relatives and friends to join for Memorial Visitation, on Friday July 26, 2013 at The Church of The Living Word (1697 South Middle Side Road-just West of the Belle River Road in Woodslee, Ontario), from 11:00 am until time of Memorial Service to celebrate her life at 12:00 Noon.
