Obituary of Barbara Barcic

BARCIC, Barbara (nee Persic) It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barbara Barcic, a cherished wife, mother and grandmother. She passed peacefully, with her loving family at her side, on July 13th at the age of 86. Beloved wife and best friend of Steve, together they would have celebrated 53 years of marriage on July 23rd. Devoted mother to John and wife Zeljka. Adored "Baba" to Angela, Stefanie, and Natalie. Reunited in Heaven with her parents, Ana and Marko Persic, and her siblings Miho (Ana) Persic, Marica (Franja) Korenic, Mate Persic, and Janko Persic. Dear aunt to Slavka and Josip Korenic (Windsor), Marica and Zoran Maljkovic (Croatia), and Franjo and Jadranka Korenic (Croatia), and their families. Barbara will also be fondly remembered by many more family and friends. She took great pride in her family and her grand-daughters were her greatest joy. She was a devout member of St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Church and belonged to the Croatian Catholic Women"s League (Krscanska Zena). A heartfelt thank you to the nurses at Windsor Regional Hospital (I.C.U., 4th and 6th floors), the staff at Village of Aspen Lake, and Dr. W. Liang, for the care and compassion shown to Barbara and her family. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers at 8 p.m. Funeral Services on Wednesday July 17, 2013 at 9:15 a.m. from the Funeral Home to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church for Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens.
