Obituary of Ruth Edna Grant

GRANT, Ruth Edna (nee Knighton) May 27, 1920-July 13, 2013 A resident of Leamington, Ruth Grant passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Leamington District Memorial Hospital, at the age of 93. Born in Galt, ON, daughter of the late Charles & Sarah Knighton. Ruth is reunited with her beloved husband Charlie "Red" Grant (1981). She is predeceased by her brothers and sisters. Ruth is remembered be her many nieces and nephews. She is missed by her best friends Ruby & Cliff Connell and family. "Adopted Grandmother" to Bruce, Sean, Matt, Sam, Jason, and Neil. Ruth was passionate about nature and animals and was recognized for her hard work spent tagging owls at Holiday Beach. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Windsor Essex County Humane Society.
