Obituary of Carmela Di Tullio

Di Tullio, Carmela (nee Di Tomaso) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother on Sunday June 2, 2013 feast of The Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, at the age of 92 years. Peacefully with her family by her side. Beloved wife of the late Marco Vincenzo ( 1994). Loving mother to Emanuela "Ema" Colantonio (Pasquale) and Giuseppina "Josey" Caruso (Ralph). Predeceased by her parents Giovanni and Maria Giuseppa Di Tomaso. Carmela is predeceased by her brothers and sister Nicola, Francesco, Vincenzo, Michele, Maria, and Giuseppe. Loving nonna to Phyllis (Jim) Battersby; Carmy (Joe) Pizzoferrato; Teresa (Luciano) Marra; Gloria (John) Camilleri; Mary (Tony) Tullio; and Mark (Stephanie) Caruso. Dear great nonna to Melissa, Jason, Megan, Adrian, Alanna, Daniel, Joanna, Justin, Adam, Erica, Patrick, Jerry, and Julia. Dear great great nonna to Kiara and William. Also survived by her sister in law Cecilia Di Tomaso and many nieces and nephews. She arrived from Italy in 1951 with her 2 girls to join her loving husband Vincenzo, was a member of the CWL and Maria S.S. Del Rosario of St. Angela Merici Church, and was retired from Windsor Textiles after 25 years of service. Carmela was very ingenious with her gifted hands. She could put together anything by sewing, knitting, or crocheting. Most family and friends have some item that she created. Her favorite pastime was reading and writing. She was happiest when all the family was around her and she loved cooking and wanted everyone to enjoy her Special Dishes. We love you mom.
