Obituary of Giuseppe Tatti

TATTI, Giuseppe "Joe" Passed away peacefully on May 14, 2013 at the age of 89. Dear husband for 62 years to Maria (nee Valvona). Loving father to Ettore and wife Claudia. Adored grandfather to Joseph (Effie), Lisa (Dino), and Daniela (Leo). Special great-grandfather to Ettore, Joseph, Marco, Liliana, Bruno, and Alayna. Son of the late Ettore and Concetta Tatti. -Brother to Maria (late Giuseppe) Sinagoga. Predeceased by brothers and sisters Maria Grazia, Antonietta (late Domenico) Crolla, Alfredo (Olivia) Tatti, and Armando (late Clara) Tatti. Brother-in-law to Linda (Costanzo) Marro, Alessandro (Gina) Valvona, late Raffaele and Addolorata Valvona. Also survived by many nieces and nephews in United States, Canada and Italy. Giuseppe was self-employed in construction since he was 22 years old in Italy and in Canada. He was a proud Bersagliere for the Italian army where he served in WWII. He was a POW in Germany for 3 and half years. Giuseppe loved his family and was very proud of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Special thanks to the Alzheimer"s Society, CCAC, especially Mark, Joe and all the other caregivers that took care of Giuseppe and helped us keep him at home for many years. E. on Thursday, May 16, 2013 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers at 4:30 p.m. Funeral Service on Friday, May, 17, 2013 at 10:15 a.m. then to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
