Obituary of Thomas Rayner Michie

MICHIE, Thomas Rayner " Tom " Passed away suddenly on May 5th, 2013 at the age of 81 years. Loving husband to Pat ( nee Nowitsky ) sharing 56 years of love & marriage. Cherished dad to Debra Michie & husband Ted Paczek, Kristine Maggs & husband Kevin and reunited with his loving son Jeff ( 1983 ). Predeceased by parents Bill & Win Michie. Devoted grandpa to Alex, Andrew & Bradley. Tom will be forever remembered by his extended family & friends. Tom was an educator with the Windsor Board of Education for many dedicated years, serving as Vice-Principal & Principal at several secondary schools in the Windsor Area. Tom will be remembered as a High School swim coach, and as a curler and golfer at Beach Grove where he was a member for many years. As per Tom"s request, cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will be held on Friday May 10, 2013 at Good Shepherd Parish - St. Gregory Site ( 13789 St. Gregory Rd ) from 10:30 AM until time of Thomas" Memorial Mass at 11:30 AM. A private interment will take place at Victoria Memorial Gardens . In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice- Residential ( envelopes available at the funeral home ).
