Obituary of Christine Hilda Shore
SHORE, Christine Hilda Myrick After a long and happy life, she left us on Thursday evening, May 2, 2013, feisty to the end. Only two days ago she reminisced about all the fun she had had in life, living in Merlin, Wallaceburg and Leamington as well as Windsor. Hilda was born in Windsor on August 13, 1912, youngest daughter of the late Harvey Myrick (1949) and Charlotte Soper (1922). Predeceased by her husband Robert Thomas Shore (April 3, 2012). Also predeceased by her sister Mildred Wallace (1998) and her niece Karen Wallace (2008). Survived by her niece Nancy Wallace, great niece Serena Favrin, great nephews Daniel and Roberto Favrin and their father Nereo Favrin. Also survived by cousins Jim and Dianne Moore, Maureen (and late Tom) Moore, Sue and Ted Carr, Ann and John Moore, Gary and Brenda Moore and Bonnie and Don Nead. Also survived by her step-children Judith Thorne and Stephen Shore and his wife Beverly all of Ottawa. Special thanks to her loyal personal caregivers Phyllis Brouillette and Lee-Ann Desrosiers, her special friend Carol Foley, also the wonderful staff at Brouillette Manor, her late husband"s friend Don Bennett and her former neighbours Greg and Theresa Marentette. Mrs. Shore was a longtime resident of Windsor and a former employee of The Windsor Star. Memorial visitation at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Banwell Chapel) 519-253-7234 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. at Banwell Rd. On Saturday May 4th, 2013 from 11am until time of memorial service at 12noon. Interment cremated remains of both Christine and Thomas will be at Windsor Grove at a late date.
