Obituary of Samuel Fazekas

FAZEKAS, Samuel "Sam" May 8, 1921 ~ April 12, 2013 Passed away peacefully on April 12, 2013 at the Malden Park Continuing Care Facility. Loving husband of the late Madeleine (nee Rocheleau) 1998. Dearest father of Shari Fazekas, Les Fazekas and wife Robin. Dear friend of Lillian Girard. Survived by sister Betty Whitesell, brother John Fazekas and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers, Steve, Alec, Louie and sisters, Julia (Leduc), Margaret (Turner) and Rose (Slyziuk). Sam worked as a meat cutter at Dominion Store for many years and retired from there. He will be missed by everyone who knew him and forever remembered. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the medical staff on the 7th Floor of Hotel Dieu/Grace Hospital for their kindness, compassion and excellent care. A special thanks to the staff at Malden Park during the last 2 days of Sam"s life and also to all the personal support workers from the CCAC for all the care given. E. on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at St. John Vianney Church (385 Dieppe St.) for visitation from 11:30 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Alzheimer Society of Windsor - Essex County.
