Obituary of Lindsay Raymond Charles Griffiths

Lindsay Raymond Charles Griffiths, triumphant throughout so many different points of his life, said goodbye on Monday March 25, 2013. He leaves behind his wife and true love, Neally Griffiths, his parents, Margaret and Charles, brother Ross (Suzanne), and sister Megan. Uncle Lindsay (Clinzy) will also be deeply missed by his nephews Nolan and Kieran, and niece, Neve. Cherished son-in law of Bernadette (Paul) and Brian Strickland, and brother-in-law of Dean and Jordan Strickland. He'll be missed by countless numbers of friends, who all know him as a generous, caring and loving person. Will be forever missed by Trip, his favourite dog in the world. Special thanks to his would-be bone marrow donor, for his/her courage and kindness of heart. Lindsay changed the lives of so many with his humour, his talent, and unconditional love. Forever a rebel, Lindsay lived life on the fringe whenever he could. Film producer by training, he was also an avid reader and historian. Lindsay naturally and completely charmed everyone around him, young and old. He always looked out for those less fortunate than him, and would give the shirt off his back for any stranger who needed it. Lindsay took great pride in his work with the Greater Essex County District School Board, and won the hearts of the children and staff. Lindsay will be missed by all those whom he loved and those who looked to him for a way forward. A private service will be held for close family and friends. All are welcome to a celebration of Lindsay's life at the Kildare House, 1880 Wyandotte Street E, Windsor, on Saturday, March 30, 2013 from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Arrangements entrusted to WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Banwell Chapel) 519-253-7234 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. at Banwell Rd. On-line condolences and cherished memories may be shared with the family at www.windsorchapel.com. The family requests that any contributions to Lindsay's memorial be directed in the form of donations to the Salvation Army, and encourage everyone and all to consider being a bone marrow donor by consulting www.onematch.ca
