Dear Louise and family, I was so surprised to read in the Windsor Star's obituary column that Dolores passed away. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I perhaps have known Dolorers a lot longer than you. I first met Dolores when she started the International Youth Symphany, and my son, Kevin, started to play with them. Then Kevin became professional and played with the orchestra. My husband and I attended all the concerts and really got to know Matti and Dolores After retiring from teaching, Peggy Buck (who passed away last week) introduced me to the Windsor Synphony Volunteer Association. In 1998 I became President, and it was then that I really found out how dedicated and loyal Doloes was to the Windsor Symphony. She was so conscientious being chair of the Social Committee. She worked hard at advertising fundraisers, organizing teas, requesting small sandwiches, gathering door prizes, etc. The list just goes on and on. Above all, it was always a great feeling to know that when you ask Dolores to do a job, you'd know it would be well done. Further as a friend, my husband (deceased 2004) would always help her with her car, so they were great buddies. My family and I truly extend to you our deepest sympathy. All of us have been a better person for having known Dolores during our life experiences. Louise I no longer live at the Pinnacle. I've moved three doors east to Sunrise Senior Living. Sometimes when you are driving by, and have a few minutes, please drop by. May God bless you and your family. Hugs with love, Helen.
