Obituary of Kenneth James Delaurier

DELAURIER, Kenneth James Passed away peacefully on February 4, 2013 at the age of 61 years. Beloved husband of Jeanine LaPointe. Loving father of Laura Schlinker (Darryl) of Calgary and Kerry McPhedran of Windsor. Dear grandfather of Alyssa, Megan, Brianna, Camryn and Wyatt. Loved son of Don Delaurier and late Isabelle and late step mother Rachel Delaurier. Loving son in law of Ray and Rose Durocher. Cherished brother of Jean Cipkar (George) of Harrow, Shirley Ebert (late Karl), Bruce Delaurier (Christine) of Belle River and David Delaurier (Anna) of Belle River. Predeceased by brother Donald Delaurier (Eileen) of Windsor. Will be missed by many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Ken's friend Dean for all his care and friendship. Thank you to the Staff at Sun Parlor Home for their outstanding care given to Ken during his illness. Ken was an avid outdoors man who enjoyed fishing, hunting and his claim to fame was moose hunting in Kenora. He loved all sports and was a New York Yankees and Montreal Canadiens fan. Ken retired from Ford Motor Co., after 35 years of dedicated service. He will be remembered for giving the gift of life; for many years Ken donated blood, until his health declined. Relatives and friends are invited to join Ken's family on Thursday February 7th, 2013 at St. Anne Church (12233 Tecumseh Rd. E. , Tecumseh) for a Mass of the Resurrection at 11:00 AM .
