Obituary of Charles Douglas McDearmid

MCDEARMID, Charles Douglas After a long battle with Cancer, Chuck passed away peacefully in the loving arms of his family on January 20, 2013 at the age of 63 years , 5 days before his 64th birthday. Beloved husband of 28 years to Sharon Lynn McDearmid (Belanger). Step-father to Dana Azar and husband Danny. Treasured grandfather to twins Andrew and Nathan. Loving brother to Charmaine and husband Rick Atkinson, Clark McDearmid and wife Donna. Dear uncle of Michael Atkinson and Monique, John Atkinson (2006) and Shelley. Great uncle to Mitchell, Nicole, Moira and Seamus. Predeceased by his parents Olga (1999) and Charlie McDearmid (2000). Chuck retired a 1st Class Police Constable from the Canadian National Railway. In addition to his 27 years with CN, he also worked for 16 years at Caesar"s Windsor in their Security Department. Chuck will be fondly remembered for his sense of humour and his notorious paper trail of forwarded emails. The family wishes to recognize the outstanding Staff of Nurses at Revera Homecare. The professionalism and compassion afforded to the family by Lori and Kinsey will be forever remembered. The family would also like to acknowledge all of the support and resources provided by the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County.
