Obituary of William Booth

BOOTH, William (Bill) Passed away peacefully with his family by his side after a lengthy illness on November 30, 2012 at the age of 75 years. Survived by his wife Lois with whom he shared 53yrs of marriage. Beloved father of William (Duane) and wife Lisa of Brampton and Karen Lynn of Tecumseh. Loving grand-paw to Meesha, Nipsu, Pepper and Gibb. Will also be missed by special furry friends Stoli, Missy and Lucy Lu. Survived by sister Mary (George) Elson of British Columbia, Amanda (Larry) Churchill of London and Gwen McLean of Toronto. Predeceased by his parents James and Ella and siblings Jack, Jean, James and Ronald. Dear brother in law of Shirley ( Nelson ) Harris, Bruce MacDonald , Ruth West ( Bill ) , John ( Janet ) MacDonald and Marilyn ( Bryan ) Allen. He will sadly be missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family. His career path included Ford Motor Company Oakville, Exide Battery Mississauga and Bill retired from Canadian Electro Coating in Windsor. He was a member of Masonic Lodge (Flower city lodge 689 G.R.C.), manager of the bald eagles old-timers hockey team and was a member of the Brampton McKenzie Hunt Club. Bill was an avid sportsman, played football for Lakeshore Bears (J.O.R.V.F), played hockey for Cheltenham Harvesters (O.R.H.A), and was pit crew manager for Watson Bros. race team (stock car). Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Banwell Chapel) 519-253-7234 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. at Banwell Rd. Friday, December 7, 2012 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Visitation to continue on Saturday from 11am until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 1pm. Cremation to follow.
