I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Docherty in 1986 when Harrowood first opened and I started working there. He was a very pleasant man both with residents and staff. My deepest sympathy to the family, you are in my thoughts and prayers

My deepest sympathy goes out to all the family on this sad occasion. I got to know George and the boys through Raymond Pollard and the building of Harrowood. You think some people will live on forever because they have such a profound influence on people and leave lasting and honourable legacies. We were sorry to hear of the passing of Uncle George. He was a man of great character and he and Aunt Marg meant a great deal to my parents and to our family.

I am so sorry to learn about your Dad's passing from my sister in lawy, Maxine Guyitt as she read it in The Independent. Your Dad was a special person to myself and many of the employees and residents at The Village. I enjoyed working for Dochery Famlly Mangament and still say that was the best job I ever had. I spent some time with your Dad the last time I was home and he and your Mom were at The Village Birthday Party as it was your Mom's birth month and they were there. Of course, I was invited for a quick drink but it was close to their supper and my sister was waiting for me with a promise next time I would come earlier or later so we could have our glass of wine. What a memories your Dad leaves behind for all of your familites as well as the many friends and acquaintances he made during his life. He will be missed by many including me. I send my condolences to all of your family and I will tip my glass to him when I have my next glass of wine. Catherine
