JANISSE- Amedee "Midi" Passed away on October 19, 2012 at the age of 93 years. Loving husband of late Rita Janisse (nee Renaud) (2007). Loving father of Kenneth (Wendy) of Oakville, Charlotte (John) Sharon of Cincinnati, Mary Lou (John) Duncan, Wayne (Cheryl) of Toronto, Len (Susan) of Lakeshore, Jolayne Janisse, Jan (Franko) Ritosa. Cherished gramps of Jeff ( Heather), Carrie, Susan (Joe) Palmeri, Chris (Heidi) Sharon, Steve Anderson, Kim (Luigi) Fanella, Greg Anderson (Rita), Deanna (Bruno) Iozzo, Erin (Pete) Alcock, Nicole, Wayne Jr., Matthew (Rachel), Andrew (Heather), Dawn , Brian and, Craig Kivisto, Andrea , Eric , and Otto Ritosa. Great Grandpa to 17 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Tancrede and Viola. Dear brother of Roland Janisse (late Alice), Leo Janisse (Betty) of London, Wilfred Janisse (Late Beverly) of Detroit, Adolphe Janisse (late Lucky), James Janisse (Late Leona) and Clarence Janisse (Lois) of Belle River, Sr. Marcelline (Sr.'s of St. Joseph) London. Predeceased by siblings Harriet (Ed) Desmarais, Loretta Quinlan (Everett), Rita Markham (Stan), Lawrence Janisse and Norbert Janisse (Barb). Predeceased by brother and sister in -laws Madeleine, Laurentia (Mike) Chalut, Paul, Wilfred (late Anne), Lawrence and late wife Loretta and Raymond (surviving wife Velina). Survived by many nieces and nephews. Will be missed by dear friend Al Potter and Midi"s extended family at Seasons Lakeshore. Midi in 1942 worked for SWA and retired in 1983 after 41 years of service with Transit Windsor. He was president of the Amalgamated Transit Union Local #616. Midi for 35 years, served as an elected trustee of the Riverside and Windsor Catholic School Board. He was Commisioner of the Windsor Baseball Federation. He was appointed Returning Officer for Provincial & Federal Elections. Mid was a long time member of the Riverside Knights of Columbus, he also worked as a mail carrier and his mail route was R.R. #2 Tecumseh. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Banwell Chapel) 519-253-7234 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. at Banwell Rd. on Sunday October 21, 2012 from 2- 9pm. Opening with prayers Sunday at 2:00 pm. Relatives and friends will be received on Monday October 22, 2012 at St. John Vianney Church (385 Dieppe St.) from 8:45am until 9:45am where Words of Remembrance will be shared followed by Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00am. Interment at St. Anne Cemetery (Tecumseh). Donations may be made to Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital Foundation or Hospice of Windsor.
