Obituary of Philip John Mugan

MUGAN, Philip John December 27, 1939 - August 26, 2012 We are all greatly saddened to learn that Phil passed away suddenly on Sunday. Phil was born in London, Ontario, the first of six children. He was predeceased by his father John Forrestal Mugan (1973) and his mother Mary Genevieve Mugan (nee O'Brien) (1994). Phil was a devoted father of his two children; Monica and Philip. Monica and her husband Dan Trueman live in Princeton, New Jersey. They have two children Molly Clare and Otto Vincent. Phil talked about and loved his children and grandchildren so much. His son, Philip and his wife Tracy live in Geneva, Illinois. Phil was much loved by his four sisters and one brother; Mary Catherine and her husband Edmond McMath, Paula, Patricia Ranson, Anita Ouellette and Joe. Philip is also survived by a very special friend Pauline Noce. He will be forever in the hearts and minds of those who loved him. Phil worked as a neurological technician at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak Michigan. He enjoyed playing golf and fishing with his son Philip and enjoyed music concerts, the opera and live theatre. After his retirement from Beaumont Hospital, he volunteered through the pastoral care program at the hospital. Phil was truly a man of faith. He believed that he was not on his life's journey alone.
