Obituary of Stuart Edward Stratton

STRATTON, Stuart E. Passed away peacefully on August 26, 2012 with his loving family at his side at the age of 87 years. Beloved father of Deena Marie (Simmons) and husband Dan. Loving grandpa of Daniel & William Harley of Warren,MI. Dear brother of Jean and Donald and wife Doreen and predeceased by brother Douglas. Special uncle to Ted Hallewick. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Stuart was a graduate of the Ford Trade School (1947) and left Ford Motor Company to open a Hardware Store with Bob Beecroft in 1952. Together they built their Hardware Store into a Plaza and proudly did business with the wonderful people of South Windsor for 53 years. His loves in life were bowling and getting together with the gang. Stuart will be forever remembered for his good nature and sharing good times with the gang for 20 years. As per Stuart's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private interment will take place at Victoria Memorial Gardens.
