Obituary of Anthony Liut

Liut, Anthony Peacefully on Wednesday, July 4th, in his 91st year. Born November 19, 1921 in Cinto Caommagiore Italy, one of seven children born to Giovanni and Maria (Nardo) Liut. Beloved husband for 70 years of Gloria Brunatti. Dear father of John, Brenda Bonner (William), Michael (Mary Ann), Paul (Jo-Anne). Dear Grandfather to Rebecca Bodanis (Steve), Rachel Bonner, Jenna Liut (Thomas DeNapoli), Andrew Bonner, Justin Liut, Andrea Pretty (Kyle), Blake Liut, Nicholas and Emma Liut. (Pre-deceased by infant grandson Ryan Bonner). Dear Great Grandfather to Ashlyn Bodanis. Survived by siblings Angelo Liut (Dorothy d) Adelchi Liut (Lita d), Evia Desauliner (Emile) and Olympia Jarrett (Lorne). Pre-deceased by sisters (Ines Zorzi (Ferdinando d), Assunta Marzetti (Elio d) Loving uncle to many nephews and nieces. At the age of 7 he travelled with his mother and 4 siblings to Canada to be reunited with their father (who had arrived 2 years earlier to secure their future). Throughout his life he had many vocations including World War II infantry soldier, steelworker, bricklayer, salesperson and ultimately a builder of Canadian Tire stores nationwide. He was known for his larger than life personality, his sense of family and his strong work ethic. Just as his father before him, he dedicated his life to improving the future of his children and grandchildren. His legacy lives on. Resting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Banwell Chapel) (519.253.7234) 11677 Tecumseh Rd., East (at Banwell Rd.) on Friday July 6, 2012 from 2-5 & 7-9 pm. Prayers Friday at 7:30 pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday July 7, 2012 at 10:00 am at St. Anne Church in Tecumseh (12233 Tecumseh Rd., East at Lesperance Rd.) Please Note- Friends are requested to gather directly at the church for time of Funeral Mass. Cremation to follow.
