Obituary of Nelda Marcuz (nee Favot)

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Nelda Marcuz (nee Favot) on May 22, 2020. Born February 27,1918 in Azzano Decimo Friuli, Italy. Loving wife of the late Peter. Devoted mother of sons Dino (Helen), Edo (deceased) (Tina), Victor (Marie deceased). Proud grandmother of Elicia, Darin, Mary Anne, Lori, Heather, Jo-Anne, Katherine, and Elizabeth. Great Grandmother of Kendall, Kaden, Peter, Mitchell, Evan, Mia, Samuel, Oliver, Sofia, Elena, Norah, Hannah, Jude, Edo, Nina, Olivia and Mia. Sister to Evo (Clare) and predeceased by Ines (Jack), Oliver, Theresa (Eldred), Anne (Frank), Evo. Special thanks to Zia Joyce (Oliver’s wife) for her love, friendship and dedication to Mom. Nelda was accomplished in needle crafts, cooking, and pottery. She was famous for her fritole which graced the dessert table of many family weddings and showers. Nelda and Peter were founding members of the Giovanni Caboto Club. Nelda was employed at Hiram Walkers in the Executive Kitchen. Later in life, her love of jewellery led to a job at People's Jewellery. The family would also like to thank all those who cared with compassion and dedication at Extendicare Southwood Lakes, Windsor. A private family burial will take place at Heavenly Rest Cemetery Arrangements entrusted to WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234. The Bereavement Authority of Ontario has instituted the following directive: “The new maximum number of people who can be at a funeral home at one time (not including staff) is 10 or fewer. This pertains to the entire funeral home.”
