Obituary of Rita Ursula Tremblay

TREMBLAY, Rita Ursula (nee Meloche) Passed away peacefully at Extendicare Tecumseh, with her loving family by her side, on Friday May 4, 2012 at the age of 91 years. Beloved wife of the late Alphonse (1995). Much loved mother of Denise and husband Ralph Rebner of Tecumseh; the late Mickey Tremblay (2006) and surviving wife Holly Freker of Windsor, and the late Karen Raymond (2010) and surviving husband Mike, of Amherstburg. Cherished Mimi of Eric and wife Ashley Rebner, Leslie Rebner, Adam Rebner and fiancee Katie Marier; Kara and husband Brian Chauvin, Krista and husband Keith Emery, Katie Tremblay and fiance Eric Beaton, Mikey Tremblay and wife Ashly; Michelle Starkiss and husband Mark, and Kelly Costello and husband Mark. Adored Great Mimi of Norah and Kenley Rebner; Jacob and Mia Emery; Christian and Juliann Chauvin; Addison and Parker Starkiss and Kennedy and Conor Costello. Pre-deceased by siblings Leona, Loretta, Cecilia, Art, Leo and Nelson. Loving aunt of many special nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by dear friends Theresa Vaillancourt, Rose Schlosser and Marie Booth. Mom was one of God's greatest gifts to this world. Her endless love, kindness and gentleness was felt by all who knew her. She left her legacy as being the last member of her era. Now, they are all together again. Rita was involved in card clubs at St. Theresa Church and the former Knights of Columbus Council on Lauzon Road. Rita retired in 1986 from Hotel Dieu Hospital after 25 years of service in the Dietary Department. Special appreciation to the Angels of Extendicare Tecumseh, Oldcastle Wing. Their dedication and compassion will never be forgotten by our family. The family will receive friends on Tuesday May 8, 2012 at Good Shepherd Parish (St. Gregory Site) 13789 St. Gregory Rd., for visitation from 9:30 am until time of Funeral Mass to celebrate Rita's life at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
