I remember my sister Wendy and I traveling from our homes in Anchorage Alaska to our birth place of Windsor Ontario in late July 2017 Sweet Steve came across the boarder to pick us In Michigan and take us to his and Tanya’s home. Dennis Coulter is our first cousin and our only cousin to visit us in Alaska and very close to our hearts. Tanya and Steve welcomed us into their home as if they had known us forever and it was actually the first time I had met them. We had the best time ever while staying with them and Tanya stole my heart! She went and bought butter tarts for when we got there knowing we don’t have them in Alaska and that I love them! We went on our cousin Bill Coulter’s wine tour and had a blast! I am so blessed to have had the privilege to meet more of my Canadian family and my only regret is that I didn’t return. Steve, my heart is broken for you and your beautiful children. Sending all my love to my dear family and a few photos of our trip that I will never forget.

I have so many fond memories of my niece Tanya that I could write a book. From the moment I met her, I knew that she would be "my daughter that I never had". Even though we lived many miles apart, we were still together in both of our hearts. During my visits to Windsor, she always made time for her "Auntie". I can still picture her on her wedding day, so beautiful and so concerned that I could not be left out of anything she was doing in preparation for that day. On my visits whether I stayed with her Mom (my sister) or at her house we always spent so much time together whether it be shopping, site seeing or just the three of us staying up until 2 or 3am telling stories, sharing our dreams or her poking fun at us(which she was good at). I'm sure we must have kept others in the house awake with our laughter. Tanya was always so kind to everyone and my two sons Bobby & Blair loved her so much. We always talked about getting our families together for a real wing ding. Tanya loved her Mom & Dad so much as well as Steve and her many cousins. So many times during our many telephone conversations how concerned she was about her Mom & Dads health and that Reese & Brady were her LIFE. I will never forget Tanya even during our last telephone conversation as sick as she she was still able to poke fun. My Special Angel I know you are now pain free and will continue to watch over us all with that motherly love you always displayed. Until we meet again I love you Tanya Coulter Konrad and I promise you Reese & Norah will meet whether it be in PEI Cradled by the Waves or Windsor.
