Obituary of Frank Denis Mallen

MALLEN, Frank Denis It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Frank Mallen (74 years.) Frank passed away suddenly in his home on March 26, 2012. He is the beloved husband of, Aline (nee) Chartrand of 27 years. Loving father of Stephanie and Rachelle Mallen of British Columbia, Paul Mallen of Mexico, Eric (Kylie) Mallen of Australia, Michelle (Domenic) Ceccacci, Julia Molnar, Renee Crouchman, Ryan Lesperance, and predeceased by Brandon (1985). Will be sadly missed by his lovable furry companion, Sheba Lynn, who never left his side. Loving grandfather of Madeline and Jacqueline Ceccacci, Eden and Ava Mallen, Grace Mallen, and Gary Ball. Survived by sisters Rose Dobransky and Cathy (Joe) Palamides, sisters-in-law Michelle Mallen, Shirley Mallen, Dolores Fox, brother-in-law Art Gendreau and will be remembered by dozens and dozens of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Dennis and Ethel Mallen, also predeceased by, Tom and Bernadette, Maureen, Patrick and Marge, Kevin, Joe and Alice, Sheila and Kadou, Marie and Roger, Mark, and Dan. Frank was a dear friend of the McRae family. He was an employee of Chrysler Canada for 30 plus years. Frank was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 261, and an avid golfer and a member of Royal Estates Golf Course for many years. He was a lover of life and approached it as though the glass was always half full. Thank you to the staff at the Renal Dialysis Unit at Hotel Dieu Hospital for their kindness and care. A special thank you to Dr. Kadri, Dr. Samoila and Pharmacist Derrick Soong. Also, many thanks to good friends, Keith Lethbridge and Marguerite Chauvin for their love and support throughout the past 2 years. An extra special thank you to Sean Mallen, Frank"s business partner at Air-O Systems for his never ending love and support. Visitation at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME( Banwell Chapel) 253-7234 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E at Banwell Rd. on Thursday from 2-5 PM and 7-9 PM. Parish prayers Thursday at 7:30 PM. Funeral service will be held on Friday March 30, 2012 at 9:15 AM from the Banwell Chapel then to Our Lady of the Atonement Church for funeral mass at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Donations in Frank's memory may be made to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre or to the Renal Dialysis Unit at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital.
