Obituary of Gerald Alfred Rivest

RIVEST, Gerald G"rald Rivest 73 years old. Gone to rest in the arm of Jesus on March 18, 2012, and to celebrate life with his family in heaven. Leaving behind his wife of 46 years Jacqueline (No"l). His two sons: Roger (Valerie) from Florida USA and Alain from Toronto. Son of the late Alfred & Florina Rivest. Leaving to celebrate him 3 brothers, 6 sisters & spouses, many nieces, nephews and friends. Four brothers & a sister preceed him to heaven . G"rald was a peaceful man, a happy man, enjoying fishing & playing music. His hobby was making violins. He was the Building Inspector for the City of LaSalle until his mind was destroyed by Alzheimer`s Disease at the age of 50 yrs . Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Banwell Chapel) 519-253-7234 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. at Banwell Rd. on Tuesday March 20, 2012 from 7 - 9PM. Parish Prayers at 8:30 PM . Relatives and friends are invited to meet on Wednesday March 21, 2012 at Paroisse St. J"r"me (3739 Ypres St.) for Mass of the Resurrection at 10:30 AM ( please note: there will be no procession from the funeral home in the morning ). Cremation to follow. Instead of flowers; remember via masses, prayers, visits to people in any nursing home or donations to St. Vincent de Paul Society will be appreciated. At the request of Mr Rivest & his family, there will be no luncheon after the church. Donations from the Rivest family will be given to St. Vincent de Paul Society .
