Dear Marion, I was so sorry to read in the Globe this morning that Ray has died suddenly. Somehow 75 does not seem old at all, and I know you and the family will miss him terribly. I reminisce about happy times at Trinity reunions, and also seeing Ray at Trinity Corporation meetings. Please accept my condolences, and convey to Michael, Kevin, Stewart, and Janice, and their families my sincere sympathy. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Ann Wainwright

Ray was a wonderful man, never too busy to share a caring or congratulatory word, he will be missed by all. I can somewhat share your pain as my dear husband of 53 years, collapsed and died suddenly just one year ago. Your faith, family and friends will help you through the tough times ahead. You are in my thoughts and prayers, God Bless, Daphne Ives

Marion and family, What a sad day for us to read of Ray's passing. David and I have been remembering the happy fun university days of so many years ago, in Toronto. Having moved to Morrisburg from the farm a year ago, for age and health reasons, we have a wonderful Anglican church here and a fabulous vicar from the Diocese of Huron. I am sure that Ray and the Rev.Sue McCullough know one another well. Sue is responsible for our latest dog rescue, an 11 year old black Lab called Moses, from a Tillsonburg parishioner. All good Anglicans. We do hope that love, hugs, your faith, all help you through this most difficult of times. Our prayers and sympathy are with you. Dear Marion, I was truly saddened to learn of Ray's death. As you know Ray and I were the closest of friends for many years from our days at Whitney School in Toronto, through UCC and decades beyond. During that time we shared many adventures with one continuing thread being our mutual interest in skiing where Ray was always more skilled than I. Ray always had a great sense of humor. For some reason his loud pronouncement upon stepping off a plane into the rain at Cleveland International Airport, on the way to serving as best man at my wedding, has always epitomized that characteristic for me. With the tone of seasoned world traveller he commented. "Funny, it wasn't raining in London". Of course, in those days flights from Toronto to Cleveland were not necessarily non-stop and, unknown to most of his audience, the city he was referring to was not in England. Sadly we somehow lost touch about 20 years ago. Ray's passing will not only leave a void in my life, but in the hearts of everyone who knew him. My sincere thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. With deepest sympathy, Rob McConnell
