PORTER, Robert Samuel November 7, 1921- March 1, 2012 It is with heavy hearts that we express the passing of our beloved Robert on March 1, 2012 at Heron Terrace . Reunited with his beloved wife Betty Porter ( nee Woods ) (1998) and the late Jeanne Gilbert ( 2003 ). Partner of Anne Kohuch. Loving father to Linda - Lee Porter - Cassidy & husband Brian ( Belle River), Gregory Porter & wife Shelley ( St. Clair Beach ), Richard Porter & Kim ( Caledonia ), and Ron Porter & wife Theresa ( Tecumseh ). Predeceased by parents George & Maude Porter. Loving grandfather of Chris & wife Denise, Shawn Cassidy , Robert & Michael Porter, Shannon and Sarah Porter and Jeff Farmsworth. Adoring great grandfather to Jacob, Samantha & Austin. Predeceased by sister Jean Porter Toulouse of Windsor. Robert retired from Chrysler Canada after 40 years of dedicated service as a Skilled Tool & Die man, member of CAW Local 444. He was a life member of the Masonic Temple of Windsor - Harmony Lodge No. 579 A.F. & A.M. for over 60 years and founding member of Windsor Hunt Club where he was Scout Master for over 60 years. Members of the Harmony Lodge No. 579 A.F. & A.M. are invited to gather at the Banwell Chapel on Friday evening for a Masonic Service at 7:30 PM. Funeral service will be held on Saturday March 3rd, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the chapel. Interment at Victoria Memorial Gardens.
