Obituary of Francesco "Pino" Biafora

BIAFORA, Francesco " Pino " It is with heavy hearts that we express the peaceful passing of Pino , surrounded by his family's love on February 23, 2012 from Hepatitis B which lead to cirrhosis of the liver. Forever loved by his soulmate and companion Anna, sharing 40 years of marriage. Cherished and devoted dad of Mena & Joe Vincelli, Rosanna & Ross Panzica and Laura & Louis Bertoia. Adored nonno of Ava, Angelina, Rosario and Silvia. Predeceased by his parents Filomena and Rosario Biafora. Dear brother of Maria & late husband Antonio Danti, Antonio Biafora, Pasquale Biafora, and the late Rosa and Antonietta. Beloved son in-law of the late Giovanni and Mariarosa Iaquinta. Loved brother in-law of Frank & Ivana Iaquinta, Vincenza Iaquinta and Marylou Iaquinta, the late Mario & late Maria-Pia Iaquinta and the late Joe Iaquinta & wife Virginia Iaquinta. Special cousin of Tony and Albina Pignanelli. Survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Pino was humble about his many talents , he was a painter, sculptor, musician and lead vocalist with his band " I Figli Del Sole" for 35 years . Pino had his wood working business for 40 years, many of his beautiful pieces can be found in homes & churches throughout the city. He was a member of the Giovanni Caboto Club and an active referee for the Ontario Soccer Association . His intelligence, wisdom and kindness will forever live in his family's hearts. E. at Banwell Rd. on Saturday February 25, 2012 from 7-9 PM, Sunday February 26, 2012 from 2-5 PM and 7-9 PM. Parish prayers on Sunday at 4:30 PM. Funeral service will be held on Monday February 27, 2012 at 10:00 AM from the Banwell chapel then to St. Angela Merici Church for funeral mass at 11:00 AM.
