Obituary of Kenneth Ian Roughton

Roughton- Kenneth Ian Passed away peacefully on December 16, 2011 at the age of 47 years after a long, courageous and valiant battle surrounded by his loving family. Cherished and loving father of Bradley, Benjamin and Matthew whom he has left a legacy of memories. Dearest son of Donna and the late Kenneth Sr., Arthur Fisher, dearest friend of the family. Adored brother of Linda Proulx (Roger), Christine Schneider (Richard), the late Joanne Van Zandt, Nancy Squires, Debbie Logan ( (Jim Komarnicki) and Kim Bouliane (Brad Warner). Leaving behind many devoted nieces and nephews, and many great friends. Ken was an extraordinary man who was a founding member of the Katelyn Bedard Bone Marrow Association where he played an active roll in fundraising and paticipated in many events. He was involved with the Belle River Minor Hockey Association as a coach for many years. He was employed as a Supervisor at Green Shield Canada. Special thanks to the staff at Windsor Regional Metropolitan Hospital, 4th floor Oncology, especially Bree-Ann, Melissa, Donna, Wendy, Stephanie, Dr. Aoun, Dr. Kanjeekal, Dr. Hamm and Dr. Giddings. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Banwell Chapel) 519-253-7234 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. at Banwell Rd. on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 from 2 to 5pm and 7 to 9pm. A funeral service to celebrate Ken's life will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 11am in the chapel. Cremation to follow. As an expression of sympathy donations in Ken's memory can be made to the Katelyn Bedard Bone Marrow Association.
