Obituary of Remie Michele Cecile

CECILE, Remie It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Remie, long time resident of Tecumseh. Born 95 years ago on January 9, 1916. Beloved husband of 73 years to Martha(nee Demers)(2010). Dearest father of Jeanne and husband Melvin Orr, Gerard(2002) and wife Sharron(Stephens). Second father to Shirley Bolichowski-Wilton. Pepe to Dennis Orr, Catherine DiLuca, Terry Orr, Denise Rallison, Donald Cecile, Kenneth Cecile, Yvette Puritch and Rachelle Hill. Grand Pepe to Colton and Danielle Orr, David, Jackie and Jennie Bacon, Dillon, Wesley, Erin and Melanie Orr, Samantha Rallison, Benoi and Jennae Cecile, Ryder and Luke Puritch, Josephine and Jack Hill. Son of the late Ernest and Exilda(Thibert). Treasured brother of Laura Laforet(1990), Claire Archibald(1995), Laurent (Bill)(2011), Mae Derdaele, Elizabeth Campeau(2008), Paul(1988), Ernie(1988), and Blaise. Also missed by many nieces and nephews. Godfather to Roland, Carmen, and Dennis. Remie was a charter member of the Knights of Columbus, Council # 4375 and 4th degree W.J. Langlois Assembly Colour Guard. He was a member of Local 444 and manager of the Crycar Credit Union for 17 years. Remie lived a full life with no regrets. An avid gardener and bee keeper, who for many years enjoyed working in his yard and garden, producing plenty of fruit and vegetables for his family. Remie loved to travel upon his retirement from Chrysler Canada of 36 years on February 1, 1975, spent 24 wonderful winters in Lake Worth Florida. Before Retirement, he vacationed in Hawaii, Mexico and Jamaica. Remie and his wife also toured the South Pacific. The family would like to thank Extendicare Tecumseh Staff, especially Old Castle, for exceptional care and compassion. Prayers on Tuesday November 29th, by the 3rd degree Knights of Columbas followed by th 4th degree prayers. Parish prayers to follow at 7:30p.m On Wednesday November 30th, 2011, Family and friends are invited to meet at 10:00a.m. At St. Anne"s Church Tecumseh (12233 Tecumseh Rd E) until time of Remie's funeral Mass at 10:30a.m with Father Gerry Campeau officiating and Father Tony Laforet concelebrating.
