Obituary of Ross Stanley Hays

HAYS, Ross Stanley " Stan " Peacefully on October 14, 2011 at the age of 81 years. Stan will be greatly missed by his wife Bonnie, his daughters Abbey Lindsay ( Ted ) and Marlin Freeman ( Michael ) and their mother Gladys. Dear stepfather of Troy Dow ( Brenda ) and Shane Dow. Proud & loving grandfather of Irene Lindsay, Ann Freeman, Jesse and Jonathan Dow. Brother of Donna Strick ( John ) and uncle to Laurie Parent and Ross Strick. Dear brother in law to Penny Dell , Linda & Richard Gagnon , Gene and Scott Lesperance. Predeceased by his parents Laura and Hector Hays. Stan was a former Principal with the Windsor Board of Education. He will be remembered by his friends at the Shriners and Beach Grove Golf Club where he was a longtime member. Stan was in the hospitality business for over 40 years , he was the owner & proprietor of the Drop In Tavern - Walker 917 and the International Tavern - ( The I.T.) Windsor. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday October 19th, 2011 at 11:30 AM in the Chapel. Cremation to follow. A private interment to take place at a later date.
