Obituary of Matyas Angeli

ANGELI, Matyas "Matt" It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Matyas "Matt" on September 22, 2011 at Hotel Dieu Hospital at the age of 84 years. Beloved husband of Elizabeth (Nee Schweipert). Loving Apu (father) of Erika and husband Andrew Dalla Bona. Loving and proud "Opa" to Nicolas, Luca and Kosmo. Predeceased by one sister and survived by several brother & Sister in-laws and nieces and nephews in Hungary. Dear cousin of Elizabeth Pelenyi. He was a businessman for many years in Hamilton and came to Windsor and continued working hard owning various businesses until his retirement. Opa's most pride and joy were his two grandsons, he was a big sports fan and an avid music lover especially for his Hungarian "gypsy" music. Cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will be held at the Windsor Chapel Funeral Home 253-7234 (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd E ( corner of Tecumseh and Banwell) on Sunday September 25, 2011 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm with prayers at 7:30pm. Private interment of his cremated remains on Monday September 26, 2011 at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. As your expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
